In Malaysia, providing good mining engineering and related programs has been a great challenge as these programs are considered as ‘non-popular’ not a glamourous job compared to other traditional engineering courses. As mining and quarrying is considered as important national economic sector, it is important that IHL complementing each other to provide, at various level (certificate/diploma/degree), competitive and sustainable program to supply needed human capital in this field. This webinar shall summarize issues and discuss ways forward to provide good mining education in Malaysia.
