The research focus will be on the investigation of the yellowing chromaticity mechanism in
UV/blue light-emitting diode (LED) encapsulant with metal coupled Titanium Dioxide (TiO2)
particle filler using experimental design and mathematical analyses.
This research aims to experimentally quantify and mathematically formulate and refine the
desirable optimality of optical and photocatalytic properties of potential metal coupled TiO2
particles to elucidate and reduce significantly the yellowing chromaticity mechanism(s) in
LED’s encapsulant as substitutional filler to TiO2.
Candidates with a photocatalyst, Light-Emitting Diode (LED) or kinetic modelling knowledge
will be added advantage.
